About CSY

Cybersave Yourself is the security awareness campaign for education and research. You'll find security tips, videos and games on security and privacy awareness, among other things.

For Dutch institutions, Cybersave Yourself offers a toolkit of materials to help them create their own awareness programs.

Campaign materials

In 2009, SURF started the Cybersave Yourself (CSY) service together with information security professionals at Dutch universities and colleges. The goal of CSY is to make employees and students more aware of (digital) information security and privacy. The service provides campaign materials that allow institutions to conduct their own awareness campaigns, with materials aimed at various target groups: students, staff, researchers, faculty, management.

The campaign materials cover a variety of topics. These include phishing, privacy, ransomware, public Wi-Fi networks, and so on. These are expanded on an ongoing basis. If there is a topic missing that you are in need of, please be sure to let us know.
Toolkit for institutions

Cybersave Yourself Toolkit

A special Cybersave Yourself toolkit has been developed for institutions affiliated with SURF. The toolkit contains communication tools that institutions can use in their own security campaign. Institutions can personalize the resources by adding their own logo or corporate identity. Workshop materials are also available.

Cybersave Yourself Community

For anyone within Dutch Education and Research who is concerned with security and privacy awareness, there is the Cybersave Yourself Community. Here you can exchange experiences and tips, ask questions and have discussions and get the latest information. We also organize meetings on security and privacy awareness.
